What is the project about?
The project is about trying to find a way to make your trips as green as possible. A green trip is a trip that is as environmental friendly as possible. To make a trip environmental friendly, you should reduce carbon emissions. Public transport has for example a very low carbon emission, but travelling by bike is also environmental friendly.
Part I: Introduction
In this part, we had to introduce ourselves by means of a video. In the video, we shared some personal information such as: age, family members, hobbys and ambitions
Part II: The research / product
In this part, we interviewed people about their use of transport. We also kept track of the use of transport of our family members for one week.
Part 2a: Diary
In this part, we kept track of the use of transport of our family members. we represented the data in a table, which is shown in the document below.
Part 2b: The interviews
In this part, we had to interview 10 students, 5 teachers, 5 people using public transport and 2 parents about their use of transport. We also wrote a report about public transport in our area. We put the data in a table or in a text, and wrote a conclusion underneath it. All of this is in the document below.
Part 2c: Conclusion
How do we make our trips greener?
Trying to make trips greener is hard, not because of the amount of solutions, but because of the solutions themselve. One of the solutions is for example cycling, instead of going by car. For most people cycling is not a problem, but if you live far away from shops or your work, the car is most of the time the solution.
An other solution is buying an electric car and provide the car with power you generated yourself, for example with solar panels. Although it might work, electric cars are expensive, and not everybody has the amount of money to be able to afford it. Another solution is carpooling.

Part III: Report on collaboration
In this part, we will give some evidence and informaton about the communication with India. We stayed in touch by having a meet with the Indian members of the green trips group, and communicating with them via whattsapp.
Before the video conference, we prepared some questions that we could ask. During the meet, we told them something about the information we had found, and asked them the questions that we had prepared. From the answers those questions, we learned much about their culture. They for example go to school by bus, where in the Netherlands most of the students go by bike. This made the conference really interesting. They also asked us some questions, and we could answer them really well, so that went really good. You can see some pictures of our whatsapp messages and of the video conference underneath.
Part IV: Comparison, reflection and self evaluation
In this part, we had to compare our articles with the articles from the Indian counterpart. We also had to write a reflection on the project, about what we thought went well and what did not go so well.
Part 4a: reflection
In this part, we had to write a reflection with a minimum of 200 words. In there, we had to state what went well, and what we could have done better. Underneath is a document, in which all of that is stated. There is also an overview of the parts we have done, and how well we think we have done it.
Part 4b: Self evaluation
In this part, we copied part of the project scenario, and filled in if we did the assignment and how well we think we did it. This is stated in the document below.
Part 4c: Comparison.
In this part, we compared our articles with the article of the Indian counterpart. You can see this in the document below.
